The objective of the TRIPLE project is to develop a platform that will enable the discovery and reuse of data from the social sciences and humanities (SSH) and equip researchers with the means to connect and build interdisciplinary projects. The project has implemented nine work packages (WP) that each deal with one aspect related to meeting this objective. Each work package is led by one of the partners (called “lead beneficiary”), with support provided by other TRIPLE partners. Each work package has clearly defined objectives as well as specific tasks and deliverables in support of the overall project goal.
Lead Beneficiary: CNRS – Huma-Num
The objective of this work package is to ensure the successful coordination of administrative, financial and technical cooperation of the TRIPLE partners and to serve as the central point of contact for the project. The tasks related to this objective include the day-to-day management of the project, project reporting to donors and internal communication.
Lead Beneficiary: IBL PAN
The objective of this work package is to acquire data for the GoTriple discovery platform in cooperation with data providers and to enable indexation of the data in nine languages, in a framework that ensures a continued data flow after the end of the project. The tasks related to this objective include specifying data and providing individual support to data providers, developing the technical conditions for using data and preparing them for further use.
Lead Beneficiary: Abertay University
The objective of this work package is to design the GoTriple discovery platform in accordance with the needs of users and create a governance of the platform that allows for the integration of future services. The tasks related to this objective include the identification of users’ needs, development of the design and governance processes as well as evaluation of the user experience. Users will be involved in this process via a series of individual and group co-design activities.
Lead Beneficiary: CNRS – Huma-Num
The objective of this work package is to create a platform to host the GoTriple system and manage interactions between different components of the platform. The tasks related to this objective include the implementation of the system architecture, the configuration of the back-office system and the front end for users, as well as enabling the use of external data sources and testing the platform.
Lead Beneficiary: NET7
The objective of this work package is to design, develop and integrate tools that are not part of the core GoTriple platform. The tasks related to this objective include the integration of third-party applications, the visualisation of the platform elements and the development of a recommender system to provide user suggestions, a trust building system to facilitate networking and an open annotation tool.
Lead Beneficiary: CNR
The objective of this work package is to implement Open Science principles as part of the TRIPLE project and prepare the project for integration into EOSC. The tasks related to this objective include identifying requirements for EOSC interoperability, implementing technology that can be linked with existing EOSC projects and organising training on EOSC guidelines and Open Science.
Lead Beneficiary: KNOW
The objective of this work package is to create a business model that will remain viable after the end of the initial project. The tasks related to this objective include a stakeholder analysis, the development of a sustainable business model design and the evaluation of the business model.
Lead Beneficiary: MWS
The objective of this work package is to effectively communicate the project and related research findings and to build awareness both within the community and beyond. The tasks related to this objective include external communication, the development of a visual identity and communication material as well as organising community events such as conferences, technical workshops and training sessions.
Lead Beneficiary: CNRS – Huma-Num
The objective of this work package is to ensure compliance of TRIPLE with ethics requirements. The tasks related to this objective include setting up criteria for the recruitment of research participants and developing guidelines for the processing of data.
